24/02/23 - Senior Brunch at Sekura

Once a year, true to tradition, we invite our Seniors 👨🏻‍🦳🧑🏻‍🦳 to visit the factory. We do this deliberately - because at Sekura we are like a big family, even when you choose to retire.

In week 8, we had a visit from our "grey-gold", where we updated our Seniors about the market situation, our customers as well as giving insight into the general status of our current production. 📊👨‍🏭

These men and women are witnesses to the history of Sekura Cabins here in Randers and deserve great respect from the younger generations.

07.03.2022

The shareholders of Sekura Cabins, wish to inform you that effective from 1st March 2022, Michiel Som has been appointed as the new CEO at Sekura Cabins, thereby succeeding Carsten Tønnes.

Carsten will with immediate effect step down as CEO, as mutually agreed with him. He will leave the company and pursue other business. We thank him for his dedication and energy over the last years to bring the company forward.

Michiel will be end-responsible for the performance of Sekura Cabins and will continue to execute the company’s objective to deliver high-quality cabins to our valued customers and to realize long term sustainable growth. Michiel brings extensive knowledge of the products and applied technologies, as well as strong overall experience in the manufacturing sector and in operations.

Over the last 17 years, Michiel has been end-responsible for several of our group companies active in the automotive and metal working industries, during which he built a track record of managing sustainable growth and operational improvements. These qualities are of key importance to Sekura Cabins.

Michiel has been involved in Sekura Cabins as board advisor since 2017 and has supervised several technological improvements, including the development plans of our recently realized new factory. He already knows the company and the organization and therefore, we are confident he will be able to deliver further growth at high quality levels.

Through this short series of newsletters about the construction of our new factory we have focused on optimization and efficiency.

We have taken a closer look at environmental optimization and workflow optimization. However, our employees are our most important asset. Skilled and satisfied employees help to ensure a uniformly high production quality and delivery efficiency.
Experience and continuity also help to ensure this uniformly high quality in the assembly as well as in the rest of the processes throughout the factory also ensuring customer satisfaction.

Therefore, we have been working actively with a distinctive focus on setting new standards for the working environment in our new factory. And the employees themselves have been directly involved in the process. All working groups have participated in workshops highlighting the biggest needs and wishes regarding their new workstations. Thereafter a project team has been working actively to meet these needs and wishes best possible still considering both safety and financial perspectives.

In the following section we have highlighted some of the biggest improvements made to improve the working environment for the well-being of the employees at Sekura Cabins.

Personal health, daylight and fresh air

Some other new or optimized elements are:

  • Bright and modern canteen with a great view and focus on personal health and nutrition

  • Heating installed all around the factory

  • New, modern sprinklers are installed in case of fire

  • Improved state of the art exhaustion in welding areas

  • Fresh air both in administration and production

  • Bright offices with acoustic and ergonomic measures

However, the biggest and most important decision regarding the well-being of our employees was made even before we cut the first sod.

To make sure that we keep our esteemed and experienced workcraft at Sekura after moving into a new location, it has been a top priority to build the new factory as close to our previous factory as possible and we succeeded in doing so.
